You know those funny little things kids suddenly and out of nowhere start doing and are then usually gone just as fast?
I want to note these two tidbits for my future self because I am finding them pretty amusing this week-
Katie is really trying communicate with us. She has begun frequently putting many, many, many sounds together before the words she knows, as if trying to speak in sentences. She doesn't do it in a frustrated way. In fact, her facial expression as she says it pretty much conveys that she thinks she is making complete sense to us.
It goes something like this-
"shbhjokjfjaifhgbajdkslajdhfjvkanaldndkalafjfbajfienabcmkakaldkdj milk!"
and
"kjhksdjahkjnbcowherhkasjdfhkSJFH fjhkjfhkjcnkjehfkjahf kashjflkjsdhfkjshdf open kjsdhfkjdshfks!"
I find it so cute.
And the second- Drew has taken a bit of a liking to trail mix lately.
The thing this week is that every meal and snack must be in the form of trail mix. But trail mix to Drew just means mixing all of your (must be dry) food together on your plate. For breakfast yesterday he wanted a "trail mix" made of slices of hard boiled egg, slices of apple, Cheerios, and grated cheddar cheese. He is currently sitting next to me eating pretzel, raisin, cheese, and peanut trail mix. He doesn't seem to care what I put on his plate as long as he can call it trail mix. Works for me.
