{Spring Break}

Spring Break. aaaahhhhh. :)

Before we leave for a long weekend in Decatur, we are spending a day playing at home. My children are absolutely cracking me up this morning. They are playing College for Children, a game of their own creation. They are each professors of one kind or another on different courses. They created an elaborate schedule for the morning of who is teaching what and when and where. They asked if they could wipe down some coolers from the basement and then turned them on their sides to be lockers. Each room of the downstairs is a different classroom and each bedroom in the house is a dorm room.

Gracie is teaching music, gymnastics, and art. Luke is teaching science and basketball. Drew is teaching puzzle-ology (how cute!) and meditation. Katie, as usual, really has no idea what is going on, but she is happily following the group.

I love it.

On a plus note, I have had the entire morning to do whatever I choose because they are so happily occupied. My bedroom got a really- needed good cleaning, I read the newest HGTV magazine, and I began another pair of spring pants for Katie.

I know by the end of next week that the novelty of entire days with nothing planned might wear off and the bickering might set in, but for now, Spring Break is completely wonderful.
