{happy time}

So Katie is on a completely different schedule than the other three little Hedenbergs. Being the only napper in the house, and a long napper at that, means that she is not quite ready to go to sleep when her siblings are. The three hour nap- longer if I don't wake her up- she takes each afternoon from twelve to three has her pretty much still wide awake until about ten each night. One might think that this would be a real problem for us, but since we're night owls too, it really is not so much. In fact, we call the two hour window of time from when Gracie and Luke go upstairs (Drew goes to bed much earlier than everyone else) until Katie goes to bed "happy time" because she is at her happiest in the evenings! She climbs on us and giggles with us and cuddles with us as we watch TV and hang out.   It is nice to be able to steal these little moments with just her.

A little peek at our evening that Ben captured on his phone last night (please excuse the Blair Witch bright glare on her...):

Not a bad way to end our day, for sure.

She sleeps in the mornings until I have to wake her up to run kids to school at 7:45 or even later if nobody wakes her up. Today she woke up at 8:45.  She went to bed three hours after Drew did last night and woke up three and a half hours after he did this morning- see what I mean about being on a completely different schedule than the other three kids?

Can she teach Peyton how to be on that schedule? This pregnant mama would love a 3 hour nap :)
