{adult Easter egg hunt}
Yesterday morning our good friend Dave texted and wondered if we would like to be his guests at a charity adult Easter egg hunt at Grant's Farm. We quickly checked with our sitter to see if she was free and, surprisingly, she was interested in hanging out with the kids for the evening. So after a day that included a really fun visit with my sister and her family, we were treated to a date night and time with one of our favorite guys.
We started the evening with a drink at a restaurant in Old Webster we've been curious about. Next we headed to Grant's Farm to enjoy the event with Dave. The weather was a little chilly, but not bad and while it sprinkled for about ten minutes, we stayed dry. We didn't find any of the hidden eggs, but still had a good time walking around the grounds and enjoying the food and drink. (Since Dave was the VP of the event and we were just (unpaying) guests, we hung to the back of the large group at the beginning of the hunt. By the time we began looking, the eggs had been found.)
We returned home to four kids still wide awake after a great evening of Play-doh Chopped, quite a few rounds of Zingo, and a movie together on the couch. A fun Saturday night was had by all.
I love to get pictures of Ben and Dave together. These two just make me laugh so much when the three of us are together, as they have for fifteen years now. You know how some people are just good people? That's Dave.
And bad cell phone pictures we like to take for fun (....because pulling out your real camera while sitting in a bar just calls more attention to the fact that we rarely get out of the house for a date night! :) )
