Katie's first time in the snow was a success and she had a great time, but Gracie, Luke, and Drew were unsuccessful with making their snowman. Yesterday's fluffy light snow was covered with freezing drizzle overnight resulting in hard, heavy, and crunchy snow and making it pretty difficult to make a ball. They had fun sculpting it once they gave up on rolling it. We were able to stay out about a half an hour before we had wet mittens and cold toes. Plans are to head out again later in the afternoon to make a snow fort.
