{birthday weekending}
My very favorite person has a birthday on Monday, so we are having a fun, very laid-back weekend celebrating our Ben.
The kids worked long and hard on a birthday banner to surprise him with as he arrived home from work on Friday. So cute!
We spent the evening with some good friends. Homemade pizza, drinks, and children everywhere- thanks, Millers! It was a great Friday night.
Today brought a basketball game for Luke and a birthday lunch at Ben's current favorite St. Louis restaurant- Bogarts in Soulard. The line was out the door and the place was crowded, but the food was so worth it! We had a great time.
The rest of the weekend will be whatever Ben wants it to be. He hasn't decided yet what he wants to spend the next two days doing (hooray for long weekends!), but I know that we will enjoy ourselves. Some ingredients for favorite Ben foods are already waiting in the kitchen, so we have some yummy food in our future as well.
