{in Katie's room}

One of my projects lately has been to turn Katie's room into a place where she likes to spend time. In the past, it has just basically been the room that holds her clothes and crib.  We rarely spent time in it except when connected to her sleep. With just a little tweaking, the room is now much more usable for her. We added a small table and chairs (but had to get rid of the yellow nursery chair that has been in use for the past almost ten years to make the space - how sad!) and moved all of her clothes to the smaller closet in order to create easier access to her toys in the other closet. We took off the huge heavy door and added a couple extra shelves to hold all of her babies, dress up clothes, Little People, and other bulky toddler toys. I have a couple of other things I would like to do to the room, but already it has been a nice upgrade.

so cute! Makes me think of how we will transition Teddy's room to be more than just a clothes holder someday :) Katie is obviously thrilled with it!
