I really enjoy sewing, but I have a long, long, long way to go until I am good at it, so it was quite an accomplishment to send Gracie off to school today wearing a dress I made for her.
Saying I made this dress is really quite a stretch, though. Inspired by a blog that Shannon told me about, I went through a stack of clothes Goodwill-bound and pulled out a couple that I thought could possibly be repurposed into something new. I actually love the fabric, but I always felt about seven months pregnant when I wore the top. It looks much cuter on Gracie's petite little fifty pound body! She loves the dress and her excitement got me looking forward to finding a little more free time to play around on my sewing machine.
