a visit with Gram
It's been such a busy week that I never got around to sharing about a fun visit with my mom last week. My dad was out of town, so we got to steal her away to St. Louis for a while. We loved every bit of it!
It was great to have her company as we went about all of the normal happenings around here. She got to visit Art Night at the elementary school with us and to be a part of homework and lunch- packing and school pick ups and school drop offs. She attended the Buddy Honor Roll assembly for Gracie and Luke, observed Katie's dance class, and watched Luke in his basketball game. We squeezed in a trip to the park, a sing- along Frozen Movie Night, a Mexican meal out, a trip out for coffee, some shopping, and lots of play at home.
It was nice to see my mom make sure to spend one-on-one time with each of the kids. Katie was glued to Gram's side every chance she could get and I couldn't count the number of hours they played Play-doh together. Gracie and Gram had a really wonderful time together throughout the whole visit since Gracie claimed Gram as her roommate for the weekend. The two of them would disappear to their room in the evenings and stay up talking and crafting together. They also got to head out for a little shopping together, just the two of them. Drew loved reading with my mom and enjoyed doing a special project for preschool with her.
It was a wonderful visit with a wonderful person. We so love our Gram.
