technology

Sometimes I am blown away by the world we live in today… how unbelievably cool it is to have information right at our fingertips at any point in time!

Drew just asked me what the differences between anteaters and aardvarks are, so we googled it. Within seconds, we were on a site comparing the two animals.  Even better, there was a place at the top of the site to add any two animals you would like to compare, so we explored for a bit, typing in different animals for fun.

Pre-Internet, I would have probably answered with, "I don't know, bud. Next time we're at the library we can try to find a book about it." And then we would have both forgotten completely about it.

Facebook irritates me sometimes and I do hate how often we are all on our phones, but some parts of technology really do make our lives better.

The amount of time is spend on Wikipedia is kind of ridiculous. I don't know how I lived without it. My search history for the last year would be an interesting read. My last search was for the weight of an Olympic javelin(800 g for men and 600 g for women).
