simultaneously in the same ten minute drive to school-

Luke: "…..When they sent the Rover up to Mars, they learned new information. For example, they know that there was at one time water on Mars because they found jagged rocks in one place and those rocks were made jagged by erosion. I am pretty sure there is no other way it could have happened. I think that……."

Drew: (watching the thermometer reading on the inside of the van) "Mom, it is two degrees above freezing. What is seven hundred thousand plus seven hundreds more?…Mom, now it is right at freezing.   Who would win in a fight between a raptor and a T-Rex? Maybe Raptor because it 1. Is smart. and 2. It has better claws. But maybe a T-Rex because 1. It is big. and 2. …….. Hey, now it is one degree above freezing……"

Katie: "I don't want to do ice skating. Dora stands up on the ice. DREWY!!! Don't kick me seat!!!! I seeeeeee aaaaaaaaa ppuuuuuuuuuuppppppppppyyyy!"

Through all of this, Gracie is quietly singing the Canadian national anthem. (Her choir learned it to sing at a hockey game.)

Never, ever a dull moment.

(And I love it.)

I can hear that all in my head (except the Canadian National Anthem - I am not exactly sure how it goes...) and it makes me laugh! I remember driving in the car with Barb and my three when they were all in grade school. They were chattering away and Barb said "How can you stand that?" and I said "What?". It becomes the soundtrack of your life - I know you enjoy it!

While I found all of this enjoyable, it was the thought of Grace singing O Canada while everything else was going on that made me laugh out loud.
