Leslie, I'll say it...that just sucks. I know you were looking forward to going and that Ben would have a much better time with you there. Normally I would try to give you a positive spin on this, but I'm going to leave that up to someone else this time. I share in your disappointment and feel your pain.
I have to agree with your dad, it does suck. But based on our conversation a few weeks ago, I know you had some mixed emotions and part of you is probably relieved. There will be many more trips in your future and in the long run, staying home and "relaxing" with the kids might be the best result in the long run. Sometimes being Mommy isn't all that fun :-(

Sorry Leslie! I agree with both comments yes, it sucks and yes, you won't have all the anxiety that accompanies a trip away from the kids. Probably best for that little girl in your belly too! =) love ya

I knew somebody would step up to the plate and put a positive spin on things. Thank you Barb and Erin. Somehow "Dad" saying it was a good thing just didn't set well with me. You needed words from other mommys.
