Our trip home for Christmas is over. sigh.
It was wonderful. Family. Laughter. Playtime. Good food. Christmas traditions. Good friends. Date nights. Great conversation. Lots of love.
Just wonderful. That's about all I can say.
As sad as I am to have left Illinois and our extended family, it feels soooo good to be home. We arrived around four this afternoon and have since completely enjoyed a quiet evening. A home cooked dinner, a little unpacking, and lots of playing with new Christmas presents. The house feels extra inviting to me- the kind of inviting that always happens after time away from home. Nine days is a long time for this homebody to be away from her home.
Please excuse the excessive amount of pictures in the posts to follow; a new camera and time with the people we love the most makes for an insane amount of photography!
