{deep, deep thoughts}

Questions I don't have answers for on this cold Wednesday morning:
  • Why does it seem so much work to run to the grocery store but not too much work to run and treat myself to a new library book?
  • What makes McDonald's fountain Coke so darn good? It is my ultimate treat these days. I have given up coffee, iced tea, wine, feta cheese, and deli meat all in the name of pregnancy, but I can't give up the occasional McDonald's Coke.
  • What causes pregnant women to have such crazy dreams? I can't believe some of the doozies I've had in the past couple of weeks.
  • Why am I sad for the kids to go back to school tomorrow? You'd think after sixteen days off I'd be ready for them to head back....
  • Why is it that I don't mind 99% of housework, but can't stand to mop? I detest it. I need to mop the kitchen and dining room floor today and the chore is just hanging over my head.
  • Why does Drew need me to sit next to him while he plays cars? I am not doing anything right now (obviously, seeing as I am blogging while he plays!), but if I stand up, he stops playing. If I sit back down next to him, he goes right back to playing. Silly boy.
  • Why isn't there some kind of "like" button at the bottom of blog posts? I always want to acknowledge an interesting blog post, but don't always have anything clever to say. I am a "like" junkie on facebook- it makes me feel bad when a status update doesn't get any comments. I feel really badly if a blogger writes something and nobody responds, but it is sometimes a lot of pressure to leave the first or only comment. A "like" button on blogs would solve the problem.
  • Why did I put on such comfy clothes today when I know we have to leave the house in a bit to run a couple of errands and go to a playdate? I should have just gotten dressed as I got out of the shower instead of grabbing sweatpants and a hoodie; being so cozy in this makes me dread getting cleaned up for the day and putting on real clothes.
There you have it- the deep, deep thoughts of Leslie Dawn Hedenberg. :)

Happy Wednesday!

ah ha! I just remembered that my friend has "reactions" on the bottom of her posts, and after a little searching, I found out how she got them there :). Here you go: http://buzz.blogger.com/2008/11/reactions-easily-engage-your-readers.html -- now you'll just have to get everyone else whose blogs you read to put these on their blogs!
