{what a difference a month can make}

As I mentioned in my previous post, my energy has returned and I couldn't be happier. I have been really tired for the past couple of months, and our house has definitely suffered the consequences. The house has been a lot messier lately than I usually can deal with, but I just haven't cared very much.

This week, though, I'm making up for lost time. I seem to have located some of the energy I've been missing and it feels so good.

I was just sitting here with a mug of chai, thinking about this week and how different it looks and feels than, say, a month ago.

Since waking up yesterday morning, for example, I have-
  • cleaned the house to the point of being company-ready. It was needed.
  • cleaned out my van. Again, very needed.
  • ran various not-fun errands like going to the bank, putting gas in the car, dropping off donations to Goodwill, etc.
  • replied to five emails.
  • organized volunteers and supply lists for Gracie's upcoming class party.
  • shopped for gifts for a local homeless shelter.
  • purchased four of our five Wingard Christmas gifts.
  • created a list of household staples we've been running low on (laundry detergent, TP, cleaning supplies, etc) and made a big trip to Target.
  • packed us for a trip to Nashville this weekend.
  • put up the last of the Christmas decorations.
  • completed some very boring insurance paperwork I've been putting off.
I don't say this looking for an "atta-girl" at all, I just am marveling at my ability to cheerfully get this all done.  A month ago it was an accomplishment to get through my day without puking or taking a nap. :)

I am in a ridiculously good mood today. It feels so good to feel good.

Happy Friday, everyone!

Glad you are feeling so much better - pregnancy is not for sissies! Have a good time in Nashville - you deserve a grown-up night out.

Be careful and we will see you in a couple of weeks.
