ordinary

I was cleaning the kitchen and looked into the playroom to a completely ordinary scene-

Gracie and Luke playing together, completely engrossed in what they are doing and enjoying one another's company. At this moment they had just finished playing birthday party and had begun to play Wonderpets. Most of the mess seems to be out of view of the camera, but the playroom looks like it does just about every other weekday of the year. And notice Luke in his underwear? Most of you know that this is also completely normal! My little nudist-wannabe!

I grabbed my camera to capture the moment, even if there have been a thousand others just like it. In fact, I wanted to capture this moment because there have been a thousand just like it.
Because no matter my occasional frustration with life as a stay-at-home mom, I really do love my life and love being home with these two munchkins every day.

they both are so lucky to have each other. I speak from experience to say there is nothing better than to have a little brother so close in age that you always have someone to play with, who gets you, your humor and your silly games.

Thanks for keeping your blog updated, Leslie. I love the seeing the ordinary glimpses of your lives and watching the kids grow.

We (Kenny and I) are heading to Boston on Friday. I will be watching your blog so we don't miss the arrival of baby boy Hedenberg! We will be with Blair part of our trip, so I am sure we will be in the pipeline to hear any news.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you for a safe and easy delivery for momma and son (and daddy!).
