{surprise recital}
I love these four kids of mine.
This morning Gracie told me to take my time taking a "long, relaxing birthday break in a hot shower" and then told me to take as much time getting my makeup and hair done afterwards as I wanted. She told me she had everyone in her room and that she had everything under control.
About thirty minutes later, Drew came to me in the kitchen and asked me to just stay in the kitchen a while longer. Not a minute later, Luke followed behind Drew and came to ask me if I needed to go work in the art room for a while on etsy shop stuff. I took the hint and left them alone.
Finally, after much anticipation on my part. Gracie came and got me and escorted me into the dining room to a seat marked for the birthday girl. Katie and the boys were all wearing blue shirts (Katie wearing one of Luke's shirts with a scarf tied around her waist to make it a dress- so cute!) and top hats and Gracie was wearing one of her favorite dresses.
They each took turns playing a song for me and then the group sang "Happy Birthday" together at the end. It was priceless.
