Ben's birthday trip to Decatur

Weekend perfection:  A Saturday night birthday party for Ben and Sam at Patti and Paul's with lots of time to visit with family. A fun trip for Luke to Patti's lab. Breakfast, shopping, and some sewing time for Gracie with my parents. Out to lunch and a viewing (a second for some of us) of "Frozen" on Sunday. Sledding with grandparents and favorite little cousins on Sunday afternoon. Dinner and playtime at my parent's house on Sunday evening.

It was a quick trip for us, about 29 hours total, but completely worth every moment celebrating Ben's birthday with family.

[Patti and Paul treated Katie and her brothers to her first movie on Sunday to see Frozen.  Ben had taken the kids to see it a few weeks ago and they have been talking about it and singing along to the soundtrack ever since.  A cold and snowy Sunday seemed the perfect opportunity to see it again and we all loved it. Katie enjoyed every moment of it with just a little lap switching here and there. Drew seemed to love it even more a second time. In fact, there were a couple of times that I had to lean over and ask him to sing a little quieter.]
