{Avett Brothers date night}

As one of the most thoughtful Christmas gifts ever, Ben's parents got us tickets to see the Avett Brothers at the Peabody Opera House as well as a room at the Westin downtown. They came to St. Louis to watch the kids for the night while we went out to dinner at The Block and then enjoyed a wonderful concert. We even got to meet up with Ben's cousin Shannon and her husband, Scott, for a bit before the concert since they were in attendance as well. We has a great time and loved both the music and the Peabody. I couldn't help but take pictures of some of the beautiful details in that place as we waited for the show to begin.

Thank you, a million times over, Patti and Paul for a perfect overnight getaway. It was one we will remember for a long time.
