{five weeks}
Things I want to remember about sweet Kate at five weeks old:
* Over the past few days, she has become much more alert and really watches us when we talk to her. I snapped this picture after about ten minutes of eye contact from her- so cool!
* Gracie and Luke are mesmerized by her as she is awake more and have been asking even more than usual if they can hold her or sing to her.
* Drew loves her with the enthusiasm of a two year old, so she must be guarded when he is around.
* Katie is fascinated by light and likes to sit in her bouncy seat in front of a window and watch the light come in the room.
* She loves to hang out on her changing table and look at the picture that hangs above her.
* She is still having major issues with spitting up. I can't wait until she outgrows this problem. I hate to see her in pain.
* She has been waking up once each night around three after we go to bed for the night at ten or eleven. We hang out for about an hour and then she falls back asleep until seven. I can't complain.
* She loves, loves, loves to be held. I got a Moby wrap last weekend and it is perfect for her. She happily hangs out cuddled up on my chest while I can go about my day and be more active with Gracie, Luke, and Drew.
* "Sweet" is just about the best word I can use for her. I must say it a thousand times a day. She is just so calm and cuddly and soft and kissable and sweet.

Crystal, I agree, the Moby is wonderful. It was money VERY well spent! Kate is so happy in there and I can get much more done. I wish I had tried it with Drew when he was little! Any chance we could meet up when we're in Decatur next month? I would love to meet your sweet little girl! :)
