the best time of year

I am drinking a decaf pumpkin spice latte, there is a fat pumpkin sitting on my front porch, I have mums all over the house, and the spider/bat/pumpkin/leaf art projects have begun....fall is here! Yay! :)

Some favorite fall pics from the past that have me smiling today-

quick peeks at the kids-

Gracie's field trip to the orchard yesterday went really well and she thinks we should go back as a family to pick out pumpkins.

Luke is having issues today- I have lost track of the number of times he has run to me crying. We have read so many books together today; time on my lap seems to be what he needs. This is most definitely a transition time for us all, but he is having the hardest time with it. My poor little guy. I'm trying to shower him with attention and keep things as normal as possible.

Drew had a great night of sleep- which means I did too! He had his first bath last night and hated it, but gosh, he looked so cute!

Drew is calling...........

Maybe Luke could come visit
"boy-world" for an overnight some time soon? Joe and Will would love to shower him with attention and that might give you all a little break. Think about it, maybe after Chrystal's wedding? We can't wait to meet Drew!

The cowboy hat that Luke is wearing in the picture with Grace's witch hat looks just like the bad picture of me and Bridget from 1977 or so. The only thing missing is my misguided attempt to make it look like a tri-corner hat from the American Revolution. Ben, you look like you have aged since the picture with luke as a pumpkin. Barb, my question is if you are going to have a "boy world" are you going to exclude Sam?

Sorry Ben. After looking at the pictures again I figured out that is the lack of facial hair that made you look old. It's been awhile since I saw you without it. This is probably jealousy rearing it's ugly head.
Ouch baby, you've insulted your only brother and your favorite cousin all in one entry. Guess who won't be invited to "boyworld".

I'd like to steal Luke away to "Nini world" - I was thinking the same thing Barb was when I was reading the blog. Poor guy! He's just not good at transitions and this is a pretty big one.
Paul and I were thinking of popping over next weekend _ I'm sure that we will talk to you over this weekend to see what's going on with you.

Give everyone kisses,

Love,
Nini

It turns out that I actually have aged since the picture. As time passes, you get older. If the oppostite is happening, then you either have a deal with the devil or Botox. I still get looked down on when I say that I have 3 kids, like I started in high school. It's even worse for Leslie.

Ben, I have a hard time believing anyone, except maybe Chad, could look DOWN on you!

I can't wait to meet (i.e., HOLD) your newest addition. Add my name to the list when you come to Decatur. I saw his latest pictures last night. I can see a lot of Gracie in him.

What is "Boy World"? Is it a new store? Tell me more!! It sounds like the most super place on earth. I'm getting so excited. My mind is just racing. There is no way I'm going to be able to sleep tonight. Toodles.
