Unless something really exciting happens in the next hour or so, September 14 did not bring baby Drew our way. Sorry, Paul. I know you would have loved for your newest grandson to share your birthday.

Our quiet weekend is winding down. Not too much was on our agenda today. We made it to early church- a rarity- and right at the beginning of the service I had this thought that it would really be not good if my water broke during the service. I'm not sure why this fear popped in my head- I felt just fine- but it was just so quiet in there and we were blocked in the middle of the pew and once I had the thought, I could think of little else. It made for a long hour. The funniest part was that as soon as we got outside I said to Ben, " I had the silliest fear the whole service. I was sure that..." He interrupted, "Your water was going to break right in the middle of the sermon?" It evidently wasn't the most irrational thought.

It started to pour down rain as soon as we got into our van and continued for much of the day- a perfect excuse to have a lazy Sunday at home. Ben cooked a huge pot of creamy potato soup and watched sports, the kids played, and I napped, read, did laundry, and scrapbooked. The kids were beyond excited that I took them to McDonalds for lunch to get a Batman Happy Meal and let them get chocolate milk instead of white milk. Aren't we exciting? :)

Gracie and Luke went to bed early tonight and Ben and I just spent the longest time looking at old pictures together. There is definitely truth to the cliche about how quickly time passes. We also came to the realization that we do not take enough pictures together. We've done a pretty good job of capturing lots of pictures of Gracie and Luke, and even lots of pictures of us with our friends, but we have less than a dozen pictures of just the two of us over the past six years. Kind of a shame. We'll have to work on that.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

I think that Drew wants his own special birthday. I just need to talk to him for a minute....So listen, buddy - all the Hedenberg birthdays are over and the rest of the week is yours to pick from. You would be doing your old Nini a big favor if you would start something up between now and say, 6 o'clock tomorrow morning. I have to do an interview at 8 am that I REALLY don't want to do and a new grandson on the way would be the only thing that would get me out of it.
The moon is full and it sounds like your Mom is rested and ready to meet you. And so are the rest of us, who love you already.
Prince Harry (whose real name is Henry) was born on September 15 - who wouldn't want to share his birhtday with a prince ?

We can't wait to meet you and I really don't want to go to work tomorrow!!!

Hugs and kisses - Nini
