Auggie & Bear

Our life would not be the same without these two.

It would be easier, quieter, less messy, and have less frustration. They bark too much. They sometimes escape our yard and send me on frantic searches. They make it necessary for me to sweep and vacuum entirely too often. They are expensive.

But man do I love them. The happiness they bring us most definitely outweighs every single thing I typed above. I am not sure that I ever thought I would be this crazy about dogs, but somehow here I am.

Oh, how I understand. We lost our older German shepherds within a year of each other. Although we vowed no more dogs for awhile, it didn't last long. We got Zora last September and, because we felt she needed a companion, we just got Argo, a 3 year old male and our first rescue, three weeks ago. They are our 5th and 6th GSD. It is messy, expensive, time-consuming, and hair-covered. At a time in our lives when we are trying to transition to another house in another location and surrounded by chaos, we don't need one dog, let alone two, but the hole left without them is too big to tolerate.
