major disappointment

Luke has been saving babysitting and chore money f o r e v e r to be able to buy a virtual reality system. Once he saved his half, we forked over our half (a very early birthday present he is cashing in now). The system arrived and he was so excited.... until he realized it is not currently compatible with our Mac. The disappointment was intense and I felt so bad for him. He and Ben had researched ahead of time and although it says it will work, we need to figure out Plan B.

With the timing of arrival being right in the middle of a work trip for Ben, a Decatur trip for us, and just before a nine day summer vacation, the system has sat in the box for over two weeks now. Poor Luke.  Hoping we can come up with some sort of solution this weekend when life returns to normal a bit. (This week is pretty full around here. Today we are walking around like zombies after our flight landed at two in the morning last night. We also have house guests, Ben is on a work trip all week, and Gracie is gone on mission trip for our church. Luke understands that we won't get to his VR system for a while and he understands. Love that kid and his sweet, easygoing attitude.)
