{weekend}

We were so happy to have Aunt Bridget here for the evening on Friday night. We all went to watch Gracie's softball game and then went out for tacos.

Saturday looked like a morning trip to Grant's Farm, a kindergarten friend's birthday party at an indoor soccer place for Drew, a late afternoon baseball game for Luke, dinner at our favorite BBQ stop, a night game for Gracie, and a play for the boys with their friend Calvin and his grandparents. It was a very full and fun day.

Sunday morning the boys helped Ben with set up crew at church and loved it. (Truly, they did. It sounds like I am being sarcastic, but I am not.) After church we all grabbed some groceries and then came home for a rainy afternoon nap for the kids, book club for me, and some grilling out for Ben. It felt odd and decadent to have no ball games or practices scheduled for anyone for the day.

The weekend passed in a flurry of activity and before we knew it, Monday morning had arrived again. In all fairness, I realize that the kids and I are basically having one long weekend this summer. But actual weekends still feel more fun.
