{Drew & Kate}

 Drew loves when I let him crawl into Kate's crib with her. He sings to her, plays peek-a-boo, and covers her with kisses.

I love to watch their relationship develop. Since Gracie and Luke are older and off at school all day, I have a feeling that Drew and Kate will become great playmates over the next few years. He is surprisingly good with her and even when he is being a complete stinker to the rest of us, he has never once been unkind to his baby sister. He gets so pleased when he is able to get a smile out of her. He loves to be a big helper by bringing me a burp cloth when he sees me sit in the rocker to nurse her. He also likes to help me keep an ear on her when we use the baby monitor, or "baby alarm" as he calls it. If he hears her stir at all, he runs up to me and says, "She needs you right now!"

Not that it is all perfect. He is the noisiest child around sometimes, whether she is napping or not. He gets really upset if she needs me at the same time that he needs me. And oh my goodness, watch out if I try to enter his room holding Kate as he wakes up from his rest! But all in all, things are pretty darn good between the two of them.
