{things I find absolutely adorable this week}

1. The seriousness with which Gracie approached her Brownie homework of learning "The Star Spangled Banner" in order to sing it during morning announcements today for Veteran's Day.  I bought her a version on iTunes and she must have listened to it two hundred times in a two day period.

2. I love quizzing Drew on noises that animals make. He sounds so cute when he makes the little owl, pig, sheep, and rooster noises.  He sounds even cuter when I ask him an animal that he doesn't know the sound for. Did you know that according to Drew, a turtle says "turtle, turtle" in a deep, growly voice?

3. I can't get enough of Luke reading to me. Yesterday he read every other page of the Spiderman book we were reading with just a little help from me. So very cool.

4. The students at the elementary school were all asked to wear red, white, and blue to school today.  Drew and I had car duty at drop off this morning and the patriotism was so wonderful.  Red, white, and blue on every shirt, headband, hairbow, and skirt.  Adorable.

Happy Thursday!

I know- trick question, right? :) We were reading a book full of animals and on every page he would tell me what the animal said. We got to the turtle and he said, on his own, "turtle turtle." I found it so fun that now I ask him it often and other animals too. I have since learned that a fish says "fish fish" and a zebra says "zebra zebra." Who knew?

I check your blog every day in the midst of the craziness here to remind myself what's important in life. It makes me smile and remember that work is not what my life is about - and there are is so much more to be thankful for.
Thanks for the smiles.

Love,

Patti
