It's a great day here as we celebrate Luke's sixth birthday. We woke up early enough to watch a cartoon and open a present before school, had the breakfast of his choice, and Ben and I went and had lunch at his school with him. Right now he is happily playing with some of his new birthday presents and is excitedly awaiting Ben and Gracie getting home so we can celebrate some more tonight.

The present Luke chose to open before school was the one from Gracie- a cool shirt that he immediately put on to wear to school. My favorite part was the card she made for Luke; it just makes me happy.  The inside reads-

Happy Happy Birthday to you! I love you very very very very very much!

I'm busily preparing the house for some very special visitors- we are so happy to be welcoming grandparents for the weekend for a second weekend in a row! Woo hoo!!! The kids are so very excited and I just might be a little pumped up too. :)

Among housecleaning and birthday celebrating, I am also putting the finishing touches on the crafts for Saturday's Fall Festival at the elementary school.  500 down, 100 more to go........

The music is playing, the sun is shining, the boys are enjoying Luke's new presents, and I feel really really good today. I hope your day is going as wonderfully! :)
