We were on the road by 10:00- no small feat, let me tell you!- and drove to Louisville. We dropped Ben off at the Trane office and headed to the Louisville Zoo. We had a wonderful but very hot two hours there. Drew was so fascinated by the "aminals" that he sat in his stroller the entire time with no protest- a first! He usually insists on being on the move like his older siblings.

After cleaning up at the hotel, we picked up Ben and went to eat dinner at Lynn's Paradise Cafe. All three kids loved looking around at all of the junk on the walls and on the table, just as Ben and I thought they would. Some exploring of Louisville (from the car) followed dinner and then it was back to the hotel to wind down.

Day one of our trip was a success. :)
