Patti, Bridget, and Crystal were in Indianapolis today for a wonderful visit...we shared an afternoon that will definitely be remembered for years. After a delicious meal at a German restaurant on Mass Ave., the ladies walked over to the Murat Theatre to see Wicked.

The tickets to Wicked were a birthday treat from Patti and I just can't thank her enough. This afternoon was Gracie's first experience seeing a Broadway show, and I think she is hooked! She was just a bit confused at times, but overall, she followed the story pretty well. She really liked the song "Popular" and she giggled quite a bit at Glenda.

After the play was over, we were able to hang out a bit in the neighborhood near the theatre. We walked down to Starbucks for a treat (because in Gracie's world, even a perfect day can be improved with a hot chocolate!) and then browsed through a few of the stores. Once the rain began, we headed back to our house to visit more. Ben grilled out some burgers and we just sat around in the backyard talking for a couple of hours.

All in all, just a perfect Saturday. Thanks again, Patti, for everything! Bridget and Crystal, thanks for sharing such a great day with us.

It was great fun and the play was wonderful!! It was so neat to watch Grace's reaction to it - she was a little dubious at first, but got into the spirit of it by the second or third song. Thanks for sharing it with Bridget and Crystal and me. I'm sure that it won't be our last theater experience.
