An idea borrowed from a blog I really enjoy reading each day:
FOR TODAY
Outside my window...a sunny summer morning and beautiful pink hydrangeas.
I am working on..... putting away the last of the camping supplies and getting the last load of camping laundry done. Camping is fun, but it is so much work!
I am thankful ... that Luke is feeling better. I realize that Luke's injuries could have been so much worse. What if it had been a fire and not coals? What if he had fallen differently and burnt his face? What if we had not had so many extra hands around when it happened to take care of Gracie and Drew while we took him to the ER? Sunday sucked, but it could have been much, much worse.
From the kitchen... looking forward to grilled veggies for dinner tonight.
I am wearing... an orange skirt, a white tank top and my favorite necklace.
I am creating... birthday party invitations for Gracie's upcoming party, a fabric banner for her party, a hat for Luke's new stuffed animal, a bib for Drew, about five different scrapbook pages, a binder containing some old blog posts, a craft bag for Grace........I seem to be in the middle of too many projects! I steal time when I can find it, but am having a hard time finding enough down time throughout the day.
I am going... to California with Ben in less than a month!!! Our ten year anniversary is this October and we are going to celebrate by driving the CA coast for eight days. It will be amazing.
I am reading... The Help by Kathryn Stockett.
I am hoping... Gracie is having a good time at dance camp this morning. She woke up with a stuffy nose and I'm hoping it isn't keeping her from enjoying herself.
I am hearing... a lullabye CD playing in Drew's room and Luke's play in the playroom.
Around the house...toys, toys, toys.
Making me happy right now... fresh fruit, watching Drew pull up on EVERYTHING, sun tea, cinnamon pumpkin wallflowers from B & B Works, Luke's excitement over his new Webkinz, Gracie's excitement over planning her birthday party, family time, phone calls and emails from loved ones checking on Luke, plans to head to Decatur next week and stay for six days, the relief that Luke is not in pain anymore, frozen yogurt with granola
A few plans for the rest of the week... book club tomorrow night, Gracie's dance camp each morning, a couple of [hopefully very calm] playdates for Luke.
Happy Tuesday! :)
