date night at the hospital

Luke is healing nicely and we expect to be released from the hospital tomorrow morning. The team of specialists will come by in the morning for one more look. If things continue to look better, he'll take a bath in the special tub in the burn unit and attempt to get his dressings changed without IV pain medication. If he can tolerate it, we'll be released home with a follow up planned for Monday afternoon back here at the hopital.

Ben and I are having a really quiet evening together in Luke's hospital room. With Grace and Drew at our house, Luke asleep for almost two hours now, and no housework to do, we're forced to just take it easy for the night and enjoy each other's company. Definitely not ideal circumstances for a date night, but we'll take what we can get. ;)
