scrapbookapolooza...
(one of the many silly names we thought of this weekened for our retreat)
...was wonderful! I had such a nice weekend with everyone who drove over to spend the weekend scrapbooking. From the moment the group arrived on Friday evening until they left on Sunday morning, we did little else but scrapbook, talk, laugh, and eat. Some members of the group got next- to- no sleep (Kelly and Mom definitely fit into this category), some got LOTS of sleep (that would be me), and everyone else fit somewhere in the middle. We all agreed that it was a great weekend and will most definitely have to be repeated next year. Kelly, we'll have to find a way to get you over from St. Louis to join us! :)
I had another rare treat last night- dinner and a movie with Meggie. Ben was at the Cub/Cardinal game in St. Louis, and the kids were still hanging with grandparents in Decatur, so Meggie and I decided to go see Baby Mama and eat some delicious Italian food. You'd think that the two of us would get chances to hang out together more often now that we live in the same town, but with two kids each, sometimes it's hard to find time. It was great to have the entire evening to talk.
It is noon on Monday and I am sitting in an empty house- a very odd feeling, for sure. Ben and the kids are due to arrive home any moment, as well as the two babies I'm watching this afternoon. I've really enjoyed my weekend, but MAN, I am so ready to hug my little munchkins!
