I love St. Louis.
We are home and winding down from a pretty perfect trip to STL for a three day weekend. We fit in as many St. Louis favorites as we could- lunch and a walk on the Hill, the City Museum, the Arch, Fortel's, Soulard Market, the White Rabbit, lunch on the patio at Chuy's, the Turtle Park, Sweet Tomatoes, the zoo- but there just wasn't time to do it all. We're already starting a list for our next trip back.
We had a wonderful time hanging out with some great people. Kelly, Mark and Caleb- thanks for everything. As always, we loved our stay at your house! The kids keep talking about Caleb! Kel, I'm already ready for more Dr. Mario! How soon can you visit us in Zionsville? We miss you already.
Dave and Rebecca, our lunch with you was so much fun. We're thrilled that you are moving to St. Louis- we'll get together again soon. Rebecca, Gracie just loves the lipstick that you gave her! She reapplied it at least four times in the car on the way to the hotel! Dave, you made a friend for life after all the back-scratching you gave Luke. :) We love you guys and hope your upcoming move goes well.
Ric, Elaine, Brandon, Lauren and Jason- we were so happy to get to hang out with you on Saturday evening. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed seeing you all. Gracie and Luke asked me after we left why our back yard isn't as pretty as yours. :) It was really nice that they both had the chance to just play on your porch for a while- we had been on the go all day long. Brandon, hope your knee is on the mend.
Patti and Bridget, it was so great to get to be with you guys in St. Louis too! Thanks for swimming with us at the hotel and for lunch at Gracie's beloved Sweet Tomatoes. We'll see you again soon.
And the Burkhardt's- we had so much fun at the zoo! Lainie is just adorable! Ben and I were saying in the car after we left that you both just seem really happy. We're glad to see you guys doing so well. Thanks for treating us to a train ride- it was one of the highlights of the weekend for Luke. I so wish we had had a bit longer to hang out! Next time, for sure.
