tickets and paddle balls and regret
Last night we went on a family date to Happy Joe's for pizza and arcade games. Luke spent his tickets on a plastic paddle ball thing. Drew has been filled with regret since that he did not trade his tickets in for one also.
In the past five minutes alone, my little obsessive personality has rambled on with these-
1. I had thirty seven tickets. The paddle ball took thirty tickets. It would have taken the majority of my tickets to get it and it didn't seem like a good deal then.
2. I traded in my tickets for lots of Tootsie Rolls. I thought it was a better purchase because I got many items instead of one item. But the Tootsie Rolls just got put in my trick or treat bag with all of the rest of the candy I have, so maybe the paddle ball would have been a more lasting purchase.
3. The lady was generous to Luke because he only had twenty seven tickets and was three tickets short to get the paddle ball prize, but she gave it to him anyway.
4. Now that I think about it, I don't think she even counted his tickets. He could have had any random number of tickets and she would have given it to him. It was not exact.
5. Can we go back to that place? If you give me another dollar I can turn it into at least thirty tickets to get a paddle ball of my own. Then I can hide it in my pocket and take it to school and play a hysterical practical joke on someone and pretend to paddle them. It would be so funny.
and so on and so on and so on…..
