two year check up

Katie visited our pediatrician this morning for her two year well visit. While there were no smiles or words for the doctor or nurses (except for an excited "yes please!" when she was asked if she wanted a sticker and cookie), she was very cooperative with everything she was asked to do. She stood on the scale and to be measured (25 pounds, 32 inches). She watched them prick her finger for a hemoglobin test. She was still on the table for the doctor to examine her. She even sat calmly on my lap for a shot without a single tear! It was not the exam I was fearing at all.

She had a high five for the nurse on our way out of the office, and then we celebrated with a trip to the library to check out a new Dora book. She proudly showed off the band -aid on her arm to the friendly children's librarian.

She is getting so big on me, my little Katie.
