{weekend getaway}
I am sitting here this evening feeling very happy. Patti and Paul were wonderful to come stay with the kids while Ben and I went to Nashville for a couple of days to spend some time together.
We enjoyed our getaway so much. Long talks and good music in the car. Sleeping in on Saturday at our hotel. Long, leisurely meals of delicious food (Macaroni and cheese topped with smoked bacon and served with a side of buttermilk biscuits and strawberry jam for lunch on Saturday. Pulled pork and sweet potato fries for dinner on Saturday. French toast casserole from Puckett's for breakfast on Sunday. mmmmmmm. Worth every single calorie!) Shopping. Exploring. An amazing Avett Brothers concert. A fun night out afterwards with Meaghan and Will.
