Where did this week go??

We've been busy, I guess, but how is it time for another weekend already?


our week:

• Drew's birthday on Wednesday was fun. We went to Macaroni Grill for dinner and then came home to take a long pajama walk. A pajama walk is just what it sounds like. I have no idea why the kids find it so exciting to take a walk in their pajamas at bedtime.
• Luke and Drew now share a bedroom. It's been something we've been considering for a little while and I finally just decided to jump in and do it. We have houseguests at least once a month and it has not been ideal to be without a guest room. Since the only time that the boys spend in their rooms is to sleep, it really shouldn't be too big of a deal. Luke got to pick out the paint color for the new room and I spent a couple of nights after everyone was asleep painting. It's not quite complete, but it will be soon.
• Drew had his one year check up yesterday. Four shots and a diagnosis of an ear infection. Not fun.
• Gracie and Luke have really enjoyed rereading all of their fall and Halloween books that have been in storage since last year. They also had fun decorating the house for fall.
• Gracie has her first loose tooth and she is soooooo excited!
• One week with his violin and Luke has already broken his first string. Between the lessons, the violin rental, the music books, a stand, and now a broken string....this is not a cheap hobby!

We're gearing up for another fun weekend. Patti, Paul, Bridget, and Will are headed to Indianapolis so we can all go to the Kenny Chesney/Sugarland/Montgomery Gentry/Miranda Lamber/ Zac Brown Band concert. I could not be any more excited! We're hoping to also do something fun and fallish with the kids on Sunday.
