Thanksgiving weekend

Thanksgiving weekend is one of my favorite times of the year. I love to hang out with family and friends and be as busy or as lazy as I feel like. There never seems to be a shortage of fun things to do or people to do them with.

Our Thanksgiving weekend began on Wednesday with a nice day visiting with all the grandparents. We planned on going out for a bit that evening, but decided that sleep sounded a little better. :)

Thursday was wonderful; I just love Thanksgiving! We started the day at the Wingard meal and ended the day with pie and coffee with Ben's family..... lots of food and lots of visiting all day.
Friday was a great day as well- a visit with Kari and Taylor, ice skating, and a fun party at Ryan's. Taking Gracie and Luke ice skating was some of the most fun I've had in a long time. They were so cute on the ice and tried so hard! I had a grin on my face the entire time watching them! Everytime that Gracie would fall down, she'd smile and say, "I'm OK!" and hop right back up. She must have thanked me ten times for teaching her to ice skate. We will most definitely be finding an ice rink near Zionsville!

Ben and I really had a good time at Ryan's party on Friday night. With everyone so busy, we don't all get together as often as we used to. It was so much fun to have so many friends from high school together for the night.

Saturday was supposed to be a date day for Ben and I. We had planned on heading to St. Louis to visit friends, eat lunch at our favorite restaurant on the Hill, and do a little shopping. Unfortunately, Luke came down with the flu very early Saturday morning and I followed that afternoon, so our fun day looked much different.

We are now back at home trying to unpack and prepare for a busy week ahead. Drew is now running a slight temperature and has vomited a few times, so he's barely left my arms in the past few hours....poor baby! I hate when the kids are sick!

Hope everyone is feeling better and no other casualities. I stayed home today - I can't seem to shake this thing and Paul came home about 7:30 am from work. He's snoozing on the couch, the vomiting seems to have subsided. Not a fun flu-bug.
Thanks for a fun Thanksgiving - we'll have to go ice skating again soon.

Love,

Nini
