Superhero birthday fun

Luke really enjoyed his birthday party on Saturday. We invited a handful of his friends and their parents and had most of our family here from Decatur. Luke says the best parts were the cake and ice cream cones (of course!), Limbo, character BINGO, the presents, and the Superhero masks. I really liked watching the kids try to figure out musical chairs. :)

After friends left, we enjoyed a really cozy evening at our house with Patti, Bridget, Bryan, Mark, Pam, Erin, Chad, Addison, and Brian. Gracie, Luke, and Addison had a ball playing with all of the new birthday presents, Ben watched football with all the men, and I loved just sitting and talking with everyone. Drew was thoroughly cuddled and loved on and Gracie and Luke basked in all of the fun and attention too.

Bridget brought her Wii and it was a big hit with the little kids. My mom brought a batch of her famous slush and it was an even bigger hit with the big kids. Ben made a pot of tortellini soup and a pot of chicken chili for dinner- my favorites! I ate way too much, but still had to enjoy a second piece of birthday cake. :) Calories don't count on birthdays, right? After the little kids were asleep, the guys played games for hours and then headed to a bar down the street to hear a pretty impressive cover band.

Great pics, I am going to need copies of some of those--I didn't have batteries in my camera. We had a good time.
