friends, chili, a bonfire, and apple cider...

I can't think of four better ingredients for a fun fall evening! We had a great time getting together with some neighbors last night.
A few pictures-

This is Luke's best little buddy Hollis. He LOVES her and gets so excited when she is around. They are constantly giggling and hugging...so cute!
Luke and his buddy Will were looking pretty cute in their Superhero costumes. It's hard to tell, but Will is Superman and Luke is Batman. They are holding the animals they had just rescued.

The kids had so much fun cooking their own hot dogs and Smores by the fire and running around the yard in the dark. It was pretty cold, so they all had cute red noses and cheeks and had to keep coming inside to warm up. They had such fun and have been talking about it a lot today.

The kids are on Fall Break, so we've got a couple of relaxed days in front of us. I'm looking forward to some quiet play days at home. Gracie and Luke are actually a little bummed to be missing school, but are excited to have a couple of different playdates set up on their days off.

We also have some last minute Halloween costume scrambling to do as we still have no idea what Luke wants to be. Gracie finally decided on a cute witch and her costume came together with one trip to the store. Luke has changed his mind so many times and the stores are starting to be pretty picked over...we'll see what we can come up with in the next couple of days.

Drew had a five hour stretch of sleep on Friday night..woohoo! Things are starting to look a little better as far as sleep goes. Unfortunately, his spitting up and discomfort after nursing hasn't gotten any better. We've tried a few different things, but nothing has provided him any relief. Our pediatrician recommended that he begin taking Prevacid to help him. We're hoping that it will- it is awful to see him in so much pain!

Can you believe this is the last week of October already??
