obsession
Luke has discovered a huge bag of magnetic letters left from my teaching days and he is obsessed! Have you seen the show WordWorld on PBS? Luke loves to watch the show and build words with his magnets. I never would have thought he would enjoy the show so much, but it has quickly become the show he requests when he gets to watch something. The best part- he actually remembers what he has learned days later!

It's so much fun to watch him develop his own identity and likes and dislikes - he's such a big boy now. He does remind me a lot of Bryan and I think learning to read was a turning point for Bryan. It gave him a way to calm himself down when life around him got too chaotic. He would get hyper like Luke does sometimes (hard to believe, I know)and reading helped.
Enjoy time with your Mom this weekend - sneak in an extra nap or two and we will see you soon.
