mini-getaway to Indianapolis

 After Ben's graduation ceremony in Bloomington, Indiana, we stayed overnight in downtown Indianapolis. Patti was watching the kids back out our house, so Ben and I were able to take the entire day on Sunday to have a day date. We wandered around the city a bit reliving our time there (we lived there for about 2.5 years back 2007-2010.) We really enjoyed our time together; because Ben travels so much for work, sometimes it's just really nice to have him all to myself for a few hours to reconnect.

After our day together, we went to our friend Scott and Meggie's house. Kari, Kim, and Erin drove over from Decatur as well for a last minute girls' night.  Ben and Scott spent the evening hanging out at the house while all of the girls went for dinner and drinks followed by a concert. We saw The New Kids On The Block, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, and Salt N Pepa- all favorites from YEARS ago. After the concert, we enjoyed time in the hot tub back at Meggie's until late, late in the night.

We had to get up the next morning to return to reality, but it was a wonderful mini-getaway.
