Road Trip, day two: Chattanooga, Tennessee
It was a HOT day in Tennessee! We started the day with breakfast at a delicious breakfast near our hotel. We luckily beat the crowd with out arrival time because as we left, the line circled around the restaurant. We walked around a bit before arriving at the Tennessee Aquarium as it opened. Our time there was perfect. The kids were so in to it! Walking around with Luke was like walking around with our own personal guide; he blew me away with his knowledge of the animals.
We left the aquarium around one when it, too, started getting pretty busy and stopped being quite so much fun to explore. We had lunch and explored a bit in the North Shore area before the heat made exploring by foot less enjoyable than it should have been. We had such red faced, sweaty kids! We cooled off in the AC for a bit and then took the Inclined Railway to the top of Lookout Mountain. The view from the top was phenomenal AND it was at least ten degrees cooler at the top of the mountain. As we do at least once on vacation, we had ice cream for dinner (we had a big lunch).
