fourth grade history play

Luke's class has been hard at work over the past few weeks rehearsing and performing history plays. Luke was voted by his classmates to be director and narrator of the play. His teacher pulled me aside one day to tell me that he seems to have a natural gift for it- which may have surprised me more than a little bit. She shared that there was a director who works with the Rep Theater who came in to work with the kids one afternoon.  She asked Luke's teacher after the rehearsal if Luke was involved in drama. Mrs. Patel said that she didn't think so and the director said that she was quite impressed with the direction and suggestions that Luke had for his classmates. A future passion of his?

Luke's teacher has been really wonderful this year. We will miss her!

It is so fun to watch the kid's talents emerging - talents you weren't even aware of. Luke can direct, Joe can be the AV/technical guy and Will can act. It will be a dream team!
