{yearning for an unscheduled day}
We have a large dry erase board in our kitchen used for keeping track of the activities scheduled for our week. Each Sunday I write out the upcoming events for the next seven days to keep everyone on track. I just got around to writing out this week's schedule and it is packed.
There are twenty two activities/ lessons/practices/play dates/meetings/appointments on our plate for the next six days.
That is twenty two extra things on top of school and homework and housework and piano practice. That is at least three after school outside- of- the- home activities each day of this week. That is A LOT of time in the car shuttling from here to there.
It's all about finding balance....... and we are not especially balanced right now. I do not remember the last time we had a day with nothing going on. I am not being dramatic; I really do not.
Summer vacation, I can't wait for your arrival.
