thankful
1. Gracie babysat her siblings this afternoon while we went to a thing at church. She did wonderfully.
So thankful for her nurturing and responsible personality.
2. After a few hours of housework, we opted to wind down the weekend with a trip out for BBQ. As we were leaving the restaurant, a man stopped us to say how well behaved our children were. He identified himself as a school principal. When we got in the car, I told the kids what he had said. Without missing a beat, Drew said, "He must have really bad kids at his school!"
Thankful for a six year old who just makes me laugh.
3. Ben has to travel this week. After ZERO overnight travel for the past six weeks, we've gotten a little spoiled and are having a hard time with his leaving for the next five days.
Thankful for Ben and for how he makes life more fun around here.
4. There is quite a bit on the schedule for this week.
Thankful to have friends here to help with carpooling and getting everyone where they need to be when they need to be there.
5. Katie is going through a huge separation phase right now. It has made for some not so fun situations over the past month.
Thankful for the wisdom that comes with a decade of parenting experience to know that this phase will pass as they all do.
