My Home Is My Happy Place.
Over the weekend I had a table at an Holiday Open House Market held in the home of one of Gracie's classmates. I met some really wonderful and friendly people, but it wasn't the most profitable of afternoons because there were not as many guests as the host had predicted that there would be. In the three hours that I was there, I only had twelve people visit my table who were not other vendors at the Open House. I did not make enough money to cover the cost of materials I had purchased for the market, let only to compensate me for the hours and hours of prep time I had put in beforehand. Definitely a little disappointing.
On the bright side, the experience gave me some needed motivation to start a little (... very little) business of my own, an idea I've been entertaining ever since the booth I had in Knoxville. Over the past couple of days, I've added some items to a shop in etsy, My Home Is My Happy Place, and promoted that shop with a page on Facebook. The shop can be found here if you'd like to take a peek:
