Ben and I attended the beautiful wedding of our good friend Dave last Friday night in St. Louis. The ceremony was held outdoors in Tower Grove Park on a record-breakingly hot day! Temperatures reached 107 degrees and I felt just awful for the bridal party! Despite the heat, the ceremony was perfect. The bride and groom wrote their own vows. My favorite part was the inclusion of  many members of the small 50 person wedding. Each of the parents and siblings and in-laws stood up and read a wish for the couple.

After the ceremony, we headed into the Piper Palmer House for a great reception.  We had a great time visiting with Dave's family and some friends from U of I that we haven't seen in a very long time. The food was delicious and the evening was really informal and laid-back.

It was a good night and break from the other reason for our St. Louis visit- our hunt for a new home. More on that coming soon.
