{this moment in time}
time: 1:45
I am working on: a photo project for the guest room, a few sewing projects for the nursery, attempting (very miserably) to drink more water and less everything else.
I am thankful for: healthy kids, a baby growing closer and closer to making her arrival, Ben, Drew's complete and total disinterest in my leaving him at MDO drop off this morning- he barely looked up from the cars he was playing with to say goodbye to me! Yay!
From the kitchen: Nada at the moment. Ben won't be home for dinner tonight and the rest of us will be taking Gracie to gymnastics around dinnertime- I'm predicting a quick, easy meal when we get home. Omelets, possibly?
I am wearing: My favorite maternity jeans, brown flip flops, and a long sleeved brown tee. Hair in ponytail, no make-up, no jewelry. It's not a very fancy day around here. :)
I am reading: I went to the library this morning and got a stack of books I can't wait to jump into. Lots of general fiction, some landscaping idea books, a book on caring for newborns, and some new chapter books to read aloud with the kids at bedtime.
I am hoping: that Drew's late and long nap that he is taking doesn't mean a late night for us.
I am hearing: Luke playing with his Superhero Squad and all of the dialogue that goes with it.
Around the house: Toys, toys, toys, and more toys. Lots of sand on the floor carried in from play at the sand & water table. Sewing projects all over the dining room table.
Making me happy today: The McDonalds Coke I am sipping on (I think trying to limit my consumption of soda just makes me want it more.), the song "Jar of Hearts" by Christine Perri, the huge hug I got from Drew when I arrived at his MDO program to pick him up, feeling hiccups from my belly, a phone call from a good friend, sunshine.
A few upcoming plans: Just regular life over the next few days- school, soccer, gymnastics, an OB appt., a birthday party Luke is invited to, Little Gym..... our normal routine. I am excited to go meet the new baby my friend just had. We shared pregnancy stories for the past few months, so I am so happy to finally get to meet her sweet little girl. I am sure it will make me awfully anxious for our new arrival!
Happy Tuesday! I'd love to hear your list if you feel like sharing.
